Candidates for the LSH Board of Directors
La Habra Host Lions Club
I have been a member of the La Habra Host Lions Club since 1992. I have served in many club offices, leading up to and including that of Club President in 1998-99 and have held several offices after my presidency. I have also served in many capacities at the district level, including both Zone and Region Chairman. I am especially proud of having served as District Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer in 2000-2001 and have been honored with Harry J. Aslan and Melvin Jones Fellowships and two District Governor Appreciation Awards.
Concurrent with my service to Lions is my membership in Toastmasters, having joined that organization in the same year as becoming a Lion. My experiences in Toastmasters, as well as in Lions, have prepared me well in the categories of leadership, writing and speaking. I have authored many articles for these organizations and others, and have served many times as program speaker at Lion club meetings as well as other service organizations and would be very comfortable doing do for LSH. I feel that I am a good candidate for a seat on the Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation Board of Directors and look forward to serving as such.

I have been a lawyer for 47 years. I have been a member of the Ventura Downtown Lions Club for more than 42 years.

As a Lion, I have served in a wide variety of capacities – on committees, as a committee chair, as a fund raiser, as a member of the board of directors, as District 4A-3 Youth Exchange chair, as club president and currently as club secretary.
I believe the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Southern California (“LSHF”) serves a core function of Lions.
