Past President, Arcadia Lions Foundation
Region Chair, Lions International 4-L2
President, Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation
Executive Board, Pasadena Foothill Workforce
Currently, I am serving as President on the LSH Board. When I was first elected to serve on the board two years ago, I started as a director and moved up to Vice President. In my second year, I was elected President.
My goals are to serve more clients who qualify, by effectively communicating and efficiently reaching out to the Lions Council of Governors and Lions Clubs in District 4L-2 to provide available services by LSH.
I’ve served on the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce for 15 years; 7 consecutive years as Chairman of the Ambassadors Committee, and served as President.
I joined the Arcadia Host Lions Club in1994, and worked my way up to President. As Past President on the Arcadia Lions Foundation, I was instrumental in founding the Senior Sight Program; I am currently serving as a two-year director. Arcadia Host Lions set up a screening program through our foundation where low-income senior citizens are referred to a physician, contracted by our foundation, and provided with basic glasses and/or bifocals. I’m a Past Zone Chair and at present serving as Region Chair for Lions International 4-L2.
In addition, I’ve been involved as a volunteer with the Foothill Workforce of Pasadena, California, for over 12 years. Foothill Workforce is a federal/state funded, governmental agency to help put people back to work. At present, I chair the Employers Committee, serve on the Planning Committee, and preside on the Executive Board.
With this knowledge and experience, I can continue to serve by furthering the mission of LSH by more effectively helping to restore the gifts of sight and hearing for those who critically need the help that they cannot afford it.

PDG Maxluis Dominguez
Downtown Long Beach Lions Club
It is my goal to support and spread the mission of LSH among my fellow Lions and those in need. I owe a great debt that can only be partially repaid through my service in Lions and my support of the organization's commitment to preserve sight. My two youngest children were born with congenital cataracts over 20 years ago. Having no health insurance, I reached out to the Lions Club even as people told me they would not help my family. Through the sponsorship of the Downtown Long Beach Lions, my children were referred to SCLEI (now LSH) and the care of Dr. Robert Sinskey. My children received lens implants and aftercare until I could afford health insurance for them. Today as adults they continue to live full, active lives because of the care they received years ago.
My wife Hilda and I enjoy serving in the community. As a member of the Downtown Long Beach Lions I have served as:
Club President (2013-2014) (Club Excellence Award, Governor's Top Club)
Board Member (2009-2015)
District 4-L2 Zone Chair (2014-2015) (received all four International President Zone Chair awards)
I am also a Melvin Jones Fellow and a Life Member of LSH.
