A deaf woman is suing Taco Bell, saying she found it difficult, if not impossible, to order at the fast-food chain's drive-through window in New Jersey, the Associated Press reports.
Gina Cirrincione provided a video of an exchange that shows an employee trying to explain that orders have to be placed at the start of the drive-through.
"I will do it this one time," he then said. "I want you to understand me, one time. After that, no more."
Two months later, Cirrincione said, she wrote her order on a slip of paper at a drive-through at a Taco Bell in Atlantic City. She said the note was returned and the window was shut. She said she entered the store and was ignored.
The federal lawsuit claims that Taco Bell is in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
