An Australian teenager has lost 75 percent of his vision after shining a laser toy into his eyes. He felt no pain at the time, but his eyes are permanently damaged.
And an 8-year-old in the UK has damaged vision after shining a laser into his eyes. His mother is now campaigning to have the toys banned.
The Food and Drug Administration warns that the lasers can damage eyesight, not only in the user, but in anyone within range of the beams.
