Greg Wehby suffered from congenital rubella syndrome.
It started when his mom was pregnant. She contracted rubella -- also known as German measles -- which led to vision, hearing, and heart problems. Greg went on to qualify as a respiratory therapist and worked for almost 30 years, but five years ago he lost his sight.
Through it all, however, Lions were there to help. They provided eye surgery when Greg was a toddler, along with specialized glasses and low vision assistance. They matched him with a leader dog.
Greg and his wife Diane (a Lions District Governor) shared their story at a special luncheon on Monday.
