A tiny English pointer, deaf because of irresponsible breeding, was in pretty rough shape when he arrived at an animal rescue in Kansas, the Daily Progress in Charlottesville, VA reports.
Fortunately, Doobert's previous owner did reach out to rescue groups, and eventually a foster home was found for him in Virginia. And luckily for Doobert, a network of volunteer organizations and individuals was ready to help.
In fact, Doobert is named for the smartphone App that made his odyssey possible.
