Three people have been arrested on Tuesday for a paintball attack that may leave a 65-year-old Torrance man blind in one eye, The Los Angeles Times reports.
The man was walking at Hickory Park in Torrance at about 9:00 PM on Sunday when he was shot several times from a passing vehicle, according to Torrance police, and at least two paintballs struck and severely injured his eye.
A similar assault occurred nearby that evening and eyewitnesses gave a description of the suspects and vehicle to police.
The suspects were located Tuesday afternoon. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested each of them on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and mayhem. Police found several paintballs in the car, and later recovered a paintball gun from one suspect's home.
