Uber has introduced a web app to help both drivers and passengers in situations where one or the other is deaf or hard of hearing, AndroidHeadlines.com reports.
The app offers a set of short tutorials on how to use sign language. The project and its associated site are geared toward helping driver and passenger communicate during the short period of of a ride.
Users learn how to introduce themselves by name, how to thank the driver, and how to offer directions in case they are needed. They also learn to say goodbye, yes, and no.
