Mike Zimmer still doesn't have full vision.
His eyesight still hasn’t returned to normal, but Mike Zimmer isn’t about to have any more surgeries, Scout.com reports.
The Minnesota Vikings head coach has undergone eight surgeries trying to repair a detached retina in his right eye. His vision started to deteriorate last October.
Dosctors placed a gas bubble in his eye to keep the retina attached, but it hasn’t fully dissolved yet. After that, doctors could insert a permanent lens in his eye.
“We’re not going to do that,” Zimmer told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “We’re not having more surgeries.”
