An Alabama teenager is recovering Friday night after being struck by lightning, KRON TV reports.
On Wednesday afternoon 16-year-old Faith Mobley was washing dishes at McDonald’s when a storm blew through and she heard a loud boom.
When paramedics arrived, they noticed a hole in her shoe. They concluded that it must have been where the lightning exited her body.
Faith was rushed to the hospital where doctors checked her out. She appeared unhurt.
But there were a couple of strange side-effects. Faith has worn glasses for years, but since the strike, she sees just fine without them; and her green eyes are a shade lighter.
