A deaf man has filed lawsuits against more than 50 Florida counties, cities, school boards and more, CBS News reports.
The lawsuits claim that each body failed to provide closed captioning for live-streamed and archived videos of meetings posted online, violating the constitutional rights of people who are deaf.
Eddie Sierra says he sent letters to each body months before filing the lawsuits. Government officials say they are working on making the changes he demands, but don't yet know where the funding will come from.
