Last week supermodel Cindy Crawford was at Los Angeles International Airport to help with the launch of a new flying hospital for the charity Orbis, the Daily Mail reports.
More than six years in the making, the third-generation Flying Eye Hospital is the world’s only mobile ophthalmic teaching facility, according to the charity's website.
On the plane are laser treatment rooms, an operating room, sterilization room and a pre-and post-operative care room. The plane also has a 46-seat classroom, allowing doctors to train local workers.
