"We have so much love to give."
Catrina and William Nowrey got married in 2008 after meeting at New Jersey's School for the Deaf. They knew they wanted kids, and after a couple of miscarriages and failed IVF treatments, they decided to adopt, People Magazine reports.
Catrina and William began looking for deaf children available for adoption in China, and soon discovered Ramona.
“She’s our daughter, no doubt,” says Catrina. “She’s just the sweetest girl with lots of energy and since we are both deaf, we figured it would help her adapt.” They brought Ramona home in May of last year.
“She’s been learning American sign language so quickly!” Catrina told People. “One day she came home and told us that she wants to have a brother or sister and we realized it was the right time to adopt another child.”
They then discovered Cody on an adoption website, and they're now going through the process to adopt him as well.
