Teacher pays for the camp herself.
Angie Ause is a PGA teaching professional and teacher for blind and visually impaired students in St. Paul Public Schools. This summer she organized a special camp for these kids to teach them golf, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
She provided funds for the camp herself, including Uber rides for one family.
Children who are blind or have limited vision tend to be more sedentary, Ause told the Star Tribune, because they don't have access to recreational activities.
Still, “they can do everything that everyone else can,” said one dad. “We just have to adapt how we do it.”
