The annual tradition of frenzied post-Thanksgiving spending is alive and well in America, it seems.
Cyber Monday broke all the records this year, with consumers spending $3.45 billion in online sales yesterday.
But there's another tradition making its mark in recent years, something of an antidote to the materialistic madness: Giving Tuesday. Today is the day when we can take a step back and think of ways to share the bounty with the less fortunate in our communities.
In that spirit, we're asking our friends and supporters to look around and find the causes that need and deserve your support.
If you would like to support our mission of restoring the gifts of sight and hearing to those who can't afford the help they need, we'd be grateful. You can do that here.
But no matter how you do it, the important thing is to give.
